For this reason, we generally manage our property portfolio internally, allowing us to develop long-term relationships with our tenants, which translates into higher tenant retention. This is turn reduces leasing costs and vacancy rates for the benefit of our investors.
Cromwell’s tenant retention programme involves maintaining contact with tenants at various levels within their organisation to ensure the communication lines are always open. Regular meetings are scheduled between senior Cromwell executives and relevant tenant personnel, and there is frequent contact between our onsite facility managers and tenants.
We also have an in-house accounts payable and receivable unit to deal with all financial matters and a dedicated 1800 number for our tenants to call, 24/7.
